BRRRRRRRRRR……

Its cold outside here is SE Idaho as I am sure we all know about now. Today was our final CSA delivery. Yes three weeks ago was suppose to be the final delivery but we couldn’t help ourselves apparently. So after calling every CSA member and getting confirmation’s from most of them we put together another package of farm fresh produce.

Today’s delivery included

  • Chard
  • Kale
  • Zuccini
  • Sweet peppers
  • Green Tomates (Over 5 lbs)
  • Lemon Cucumbers
  • Hot peppers
  • Cantaloupe
  • and Green or yellow beans

I think that covers everything…..

Overall I am feeling really accomplished for completely a full 16 weeks of CSA delivery. 16 weeks of seeding, weeding, watering, harvest, washing, bagging, and delivery of produce. Sure it doesn’t sound like allot, but to give you an idea of how Kevin and I feel about it, we had intended to  put together a bonus CSA round the week after our official last delivery. However, once we took a break we had a bugger of a time convincing ourselves to come out of vacation mode. Well, the weather has a way of stirring any agriculturally minded person into action and thus when we heard snow was projected on the horizon we harvested well into the night and brought as much home as we could. The living room is an utter disaster. I think we have over 500lbs of green tomatoes leftover.
